Here at ASK we pride ourselves on our charitability. And so, in light of the 2010 graduate unemployment problem, we took in a graduate and gave him coffee and biscuits in return for general dogsbody duties and the obligatory blog offerings.
What’s the most valuable lesson you have learned, and who do you have to thank for it?
Never to underestimate yourself; put all of your faith in your ambitions.
Actually, there’s a great Elvis quote to that effect: “Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine”.
For the sake of that quote, I’ll attribute the lesson to him.
If you could talk to your younger self, what advice would you give them?
I didn’t listen to advice much when I was a kid.
I’d have only ended up resenting my older self for trying.
What do you hope your legacy will be?
Thinking about your legacy at my age is probably counter productive.
I’ll worry about the immediate for now, the eventual can wait.
What is the most surprising thing you’ve ever discovered about yourself?
That I would, in fact, miss school.
What one thing do you think every organisation would most benefit from doing, or doing differently?
Hiring me… Just kidding.
What is your worst habit?
Self deprecation. I’m always putting myself down.
Case in point.
