What’s the most valuable lesson you have learned, and who do you have to thank for it?
If you seek to please everyone you will rarely please anyone, least of all yourself. Be comfortable in your own skin and the other stuff will fall into place in time.

If you could talk to your younger self, what advice would you give them?
“Don’t worry, it will all be OK”

What is the single thing you still most need to learn?
To play the piano – I’ll get to moderation, patience and contentment later.

What do you hope your legacy will be?
I’d like to think I’ve made a difference in some way and that maybe those who have spent time with me will miss me when I’m gone.

What is the most surprising thing you’ve ever discovered about yourself?
I prefer structure rather than chaos.

What one thing do you think every organisation would most benefit from doing, or doing differently?
Send fewer e-mails. No-one ever had an epiphany sat at a desk in front of a computer screen.

What is your worst habit?
Buying shoes for a life I don’t lead.
